Thanks to the SR25’s 720 x 1,280 TFT touch display, powered by a Quad Core processor, the navigation on the SR25 is incredibly snappy.
The Wi-Fi connection is used for playing music from streaming services. The SR25 supports 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi and getting connected to a wireless network is really easy and only needs to be done once. The skewed touch screen works fine in prcatice and the volume knob is a piece of engineering.

This upgrade will please fans of hi-res music and means the SR25 can cope almost any music that anyone is ever likely to throw at it. The SR25 can also play native DSD256 files as well as playing files all the way up to 32-bit/384kHz without the need to down sample. A&K has kept with the Cirrus Logic CS43198 Master Hi-Fi level DAC chips, but the engineers have tweaked the performance of the DACs by using ultra low-noise filters that eliminate the preamp hiss that can sometimes be heard on audio players and smartphones. Inside, the SR25 has been beefed up considerably compared to its SR15 predecessor. Weighing 178g (6.27oz) the SR25 doesn’t feel too heavy but solid enough to have a luxury feel about it. The build quality and finish of the case is simply awesome with no screws visible. A&K uses the same vibration-free milling machines that Swiss watchmakers employ to create their luxury watch casings.
The case is precision milled from a block of aluminum using a 5-axis milling tool. The rear of the SR25 consists mostly of glass and it’s embedded with an attractive holographic pattern that changes appearance as it’s tilted in sunlight. despite the odd angles, it functions very well. The styling of the SR25 won't be to everyone's taste but it feels surprisingly good in the hand and.
